Inttra buys digitized container logistics solutions provider Avantida
Ocean shipping solutions provider Inttra has acquired Belgium-based digitized container logistics solutions provider Avantida.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
With operations in Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain, Avantida offers empty container management services for ocean carriers.
The firm offers digitized, automated container reuse and repositioning services for ocean carriers, transport companies, terminals, depots and other stakeholders.
The acquisition will allow inttra to enter into landside container logistics market, helping to provide better services for existing and new customers.
Avantida’s reuse and repositioning applications enable to minimize miles driven, increase container velocity and lower costs for carriers and transport companies.
Inttra CEO John Fay said: “Avantida, an industry leader in digitized container logistics, has products and customer bases that are highly complementary to those of inttra.

Inttra provides electronic software platform and information services for ocean shipping industry.
The firm streamlines the ocean trade process through connecting over 225,000 shipping professionals with more than 50 carriers and 110 software alliance partners.
